We took our first trip to Exuma, Bahamas last month July 2021. We stayed at The Driftwood Condos in the first floor condo with my sister and brother-in-law. Our flight arrived into Georgetown at 12:30, check in for the condo was not until 4pm. Lidia & Eric were so gracious to allow us a place to change and store luggage so that we could hit the beach until our check in time. The condo was not only spotless, but was absolutely perfect for our 5 day stay. It was like being at home away from home. Lidia & Eric went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. They provide a house-book with all expectations of their guests, along with all the needed information for things to do/sight see in the area. It was beyond amazing to walk out the door and down the steps to the beach. We also had our own private sitting area for the condos on the beach with coconut trees for shade. We fell in love with Hooper’s Bay and Driftwood Condos, so much so that we have booked our return visit/stay at Driftwood Condos for May 2022. We highly recommend staying at The Driftwood Condos!

This place is amazing! My husband and I have been here twice in the past year and plan to return as often as we can. I would highly recommend! With the crisp air, breathtaking views, white sandy beaches, ocean sounds and sea life, this place is quite simply - paradise. We came to the island with friends from the US to see their ‘happy place’ and meet their new friends and were more than impressed. Although the scenery and accommodations were great the hosts, Eric & Lidia really make the place. We communicated with them prior to arrival. They promptly responded to emails, provided us with information on the lay of the land, amenities, where to grocery shop, places to eat and things to do. They were there to meet us upon arrival and greeted us warmly, as if we were family, and ensured we had everything we needed. They go above and beyond what we’ve typically experienced with other Airbnb hosts. The photos don’t really do this place justice. The condos are beautifully decorated with art from the local artists. We have stayed in both the 1st and 2nd floor condos and both have amazing views. The layout is the somewhat the same for both condos with each having a deck overlooking the beach. We spent many hours in the oversized Adirondack soaking in the scenery and just as many hours on the beach which is just steps away from the condo. The hosts have created a tranquil oceanfront space on the beach under the shade of their beautiful palm tree. I would highly recommend spending some time there too. We had access to snorkeling gear, kayaks, floats, and paddle board. If you’re lucky you might be able to catch a ride with Eric on his catamaran. Whether you want to have fun in the sun, or relax while reading a book, this is the place to be. Highly recommend this place! Kathy & Greg, Arkansas

Stunning views is absolute right! As accurate as the pictures are, they just cannot capture the emotion of seeing it in person. It truly is breathtaking! If you love spending time on an amazing crystal clear beach with the most gorgeous shades of blue water, THIS IS FOR YOU! We loved walking the beach in the morning and evening. It’s such a calming and relaxing experience. Of course seeing the turtles every day was a bonus.
The condo has all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, pots, pans, and storage containers, basically anything needed to cook and prep meals. There are plenty of ice trays and the freezer works well. We did not need to purchase ice. We did freeze a couple of water bottles to take to the beach. There is a washer and dryer for your use and laundry detergent is supplied (very nice). The A/C in the bedroom worked great. We loved opening the door walls and letting the ocean breeze come in so we didn’t use the A/C in the rest of the condo. Also, the condo has a 5 gallon water cooler and Eric and Lidia supply all the water you need. This was so appreciated!
We used the kayaks, floaties, and even learned how to paddle board. Paddle boarding was a hoot! We did see a sting ray while paddle boarding. The turtles would swim by the condo and the water is so clear our son could see the turtle while I was face timing him and showing him the view. That is incredibly clear water if he could see it from the second floor condo. We did see a nurse shark swim by and found a small starfish that washed up on shore while we were enjoying the beach area in front of the condo.
All of the things mentioned above are what we wanted in our vacation. It was perfect! Yet there was a part that made our experience so much more than we hoped for…Eric and Lidia. We were a little hesitant about renting a condo with the owners living next door. As soon as we pulled up and Lidia came out to greet us with the biggest smile, all hesitation disappeared. She took us to their guest room for us to use until the condo was ready and gave us beach towels so we could immediately start enjoying the beach. We told Lidia we stopped to pick up groceries on our way from the airport and she took us right up to the condo the put the items in the fridge. Eric and Lidia are such gracious hosts and they are so genuine and friendly. They always have the biggest smile and make you feel welcome. Eric has so much knowledge about the island and we are very thankful he was willing to share it with us. He even took time out of his day to take my husband sailing on his sailboat and explore Stocking Island. Driftwood Condos are so much more than a rental unit to Eric and Lidia. They put thought into their condos and they truly care and want you to experience all the island has to offer.
We fell in love with Exuma and Driftwood Condos and cannot wait to return to our little paradise.

Driftwood is the best rental on Hooper's Bay
My family and I have rented many properties in Exuma over the years and Driftwood far surpassed all of them including the Hotel in town. The owners, Lidia & Eric, live next door to help with any questions you might have. Driftwood is on a lovely quiet palm shaded beach with hammocks, beach chairs & kayaks. Fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grill, 2 bedrooms, comfortable living room with TV. Two sundecks with stunning views. Only a few minutes from the airport where we rented a car and toured the island. Our new home away from home.

It was a great stay at Driftwood and we were delighted to have found what we think was the optimum venue to stay on the island. Shirley had many options when she searched through TripAdvisor and Booking.com, but we went with you guys and we were so happy that we made the right choice. Even more so when we saw that many of the other attractive apartments were badly located, whereas Hooper's Bay is ideal and fairly central. The walking up and down the beach was a perfect start to the day and the turtles obliged every morning by showing up near the jetties. As for the accommodation, it isn't a modern hotel but it was homely and had everything we needed in delightful surroundings. The balcony overlooking the bay was a delight to take breakfast and watch the dawn and dusk arrive. We also appreciated the lizards and hummingbirds, instant access to the beach and segregated sun-bathing area with a perfect turquoise sea and coral sand at our feet.
Not least of the benefits of staying at Driftwood is you guys. Eric is a wealth of knowledge as are you Lidia. Shirley enjoyed chatting with you on her walks up and down the beach and the volume of detail you included in the information pack was most impressive; we wanted for nothing. And of course there are the local characters to be met at Frankie Bananas bar on Friday evenings. Not least of whom was Ronnie who supplied us with great food (especially his Rib steaks) from Prime Meats 200 meters up the road from Driftwood. Thanks also for the top tips on bonefishing flats such as the Bonefish Cay and Exuma Point flat where I did well with the flyfishing.
Once again, many thanks for your effort to ensure that we were well catered for, much appreciated and we would definitely choose Driftwood (especially the top flat) if we return to Exuma. BTW, of Andros, Nassau, Eleuthera and Exuma, Exuma is the best ! Rene and Shirley. XX November 2021

If you are looking for the perfect place on Exuma, Look NO further! We covered this Island and there is no better beach! Hoopers Bay is where the famous turtles are and it is absolutely gorgeous, the most picture perfect beach you will ever see. The location is in the middle of the Island 20 minutes from either end, a quick little drive to Georgetown, groceries and liquor stores. BEST location.
The condo is adorable, spotless and perfect for a family with kids or a girls trip, like ours! The views are spectacular and the deck in the mornings for coffee can’t be beat. The condo has all you need for your amazing adventure to Exuma.
I had read previous comments about the owners, and its one reason we chose Driftwood Condo’s and I can confirm, Eric and Lidia are amazing! We love them so much, and Eric is full of information about the Island, we could have listened for hours, he has the tips and tricks on excursions and we took him up on his suggestion to go see Elvis at the Point Exuma bar and grill; where we had a blast on our boat adventure, seeing the pigs and the starfish, blue holes, conch shells, brain coral, and fresh made conch salad out at his place! It was a very personalized tour and we loved it, for less than half the price in town!
Eric and Lidia made us feel like family and the entire Island was so beautiful. Please do go eat at Santanas in Little Exuma, it such a great vibe and the food was all we talked about the entire week LOL It’s so hard to pick with so many great places on Exuma, but you will never regret staying at this fabulous condo! First things first: Pick this condo and go see the turtles every morning!
